Alpenglow Shining With
Panel 'n Log Wall System

The introduction of Alpenglow's Panel 'n Log building system late in 1997 has turned some heads as it has quickly become the favored log wall system for ALTH customers.

Citing the advanced technology of the system, customers and their builders have praised the ease of construction and are looking forward to many years of comfort and cost savings. The energynrgy.gif (17786 bytes) efficiency feature of the ALTH system has earned an Energy Star Partner status that delivers tangible benefits. Benefits that include lower monthly housing costs, and a lower real cost of home ownership. Throw in superior comfort levels, quieter sound levels, greater durability, safety, and peace-of-mind, and you have a true winner.  The Alpenglow Panel 'n Log system is featured in the February 1999 issue of:

Maximum Design Versatility

ALTH home buyers are able to choose between just about any design style they desire. If it's the log look they're after, several profiles can be produced. Log profiles can come in Swedish cope, D-Log, or Square Log. Of course, a mix of complimentary materials can be combined with logs (stone, shingles, board & batten, stucco, etc.) or we can design and supply cedar lap sided homes, Bungalow's, Southwestern and many other design styles.

ALTH offers several log corner styles to match up with log siding such as Saddle-notch tails, vertical log trim, butt & pass tails, or simple square trim in standard or rough -sawn, heavy timber sizes.

ALTH offers this environmentally conscious construction technology as an alternative to its full log wall systems. The system uses considerably less wood than log or stickH10_small.jpg framed homes. Basically an insulated log wall system, it consists of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) for the core of the wall and Anderson or Marvin windows. Customers choose the exterior log profile of their choice and an interior finish. The system gives its user the comfort and freedom of worry from traditional full log concerns.

There is virtually no chance of air or water infiltration and log wall settling is non-existent. The SIP wall panels can come in 4 1/2" or 6 1/2" thicknesses, depending upon climate zone and budget. When interior finish and exterior log siding is added R-Factors can be as high as 27.
