Design & Drafting

All the necessary design and drafting services are included with the purchase of your home package.

You’ll first want to provide us with a floor plan that illustrates your desired changes or sketch one that more completely fits your needs and building site requirements. It is best to use us or another design service to assist with the process of arriving at the design that is right for you. From that base drawing, we’ll provide a home package quote that is based upon the type of building system you want and other material selections that you’ve made. Once a sales agreement is completed, and your deposit is made, Alpenglow Log & Timber Homes will have complete, engineered construction drawings and documents prepared for your project. State-of-the-art, Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs such as AutoCAD are used to generate these highly technical, and very detailed drawings. Our goal is to provide you a quality of unsurpassed workmanship that simplifies the permitting, financing and construction processes.

Blueprints for permit procurement, appraisal, and actual construction are produced that contain the following:

A cover page with applicable reference tables,
Floor plans,
All four elevations,
Foundation plan,
Framing layouts for all floor and roof areas,
Electrical plans,
Cross-section drawings,
Construction detail pages,
Construction notes sheet,
Plot maps are optional and are subject to additional cost.

Once construction drawings are complete and you have submitted for building permits, ALTH technical service remains involved and responsive via toll-free phone and fax access, as well as overnight mail and e-mail communication. We offer technical assistance through the plan check phase, any review committee hearings, and the construction/inspection phase. We can also, often assist with special loan document requests and appraisal documentation needs.
